A gorgeous feel to this lovely French linen sheet. The sheet has a PL red monogram with a central flower on each letter. There is a seam down the middle of the sheet, which near the top has also been hand-mended (please see photo) – I read in my wonderful Book of Fine Linen by Francoise de Bonneville (well worth buying) that the sheets were often sewn together as so many shared a bigger bed! In some cases up to 10 in the household!! Can you imagine?!!
There is also a seam sewn across at 114cm. This would also look lovely as a bed cover and would make a lovely gift for a couple with PL initials.
