Three pieces of vintage Marignan French fabric. A lovely Forest Green with gold cartouche design and yellow, pink and red flowers. Some fading to the fabric as you would expect from use and age. There is also some machine stitching along the selvedge and some unpicked hems.
And according to the New York Times in 1975 ‘Marignan, the French fabric firm had the honour of being commissioned to reproduce fabrics in the restoration of the Palace of Versailles’.
Measurements: The three pieces measure 42cm x 198, 78cm x 184 and 42cm x 164cm.
